Who we are

A·Dent is a dental clinic operating in Gotse Delchev and Bansko, Bulgaria. This website (adent.uk) is operated to serve UK patients seeking dental treatment. Our contact email is [email protected].

What data we collect

When you submit an enquiry form, we collect: your name, WhatsApp/phone number, email address (if provided), treatment preferences, any message you write, and any files you upload (such as dental X-ray images or photos of your teeth). We also record your IP address, a session identifier, and — where available — the marketing source of your visit (e.g. Google Ads click identifiers and UTM parameters).

Health data. Dental X-rays, photographs of your mouth, and the details of the treatment you are seeking are “special category” health data under UK GDPR. We process this data only with your explicit consent, which you give by ticking the consent box when you submit the form. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see “Your rights”).

Lawful basis

We rely on your consent (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) to process your enquiry, and your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a)) to process any health data you choose to provide. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.

How we use your data

We use the information you submit to: respond to your enquiry, prepare an indicative treatment plan and quote, and communicate with you about treatment. We do not sell your data. Decisions about your care are always made by our clinicians, not by automated means.

Who we share it with (processors)

We use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Mailgun (Sinch) — sending and receiving email about your enquiry.
• Meta Platforms — if you contact us via WhatsApp, your messages are processed through the WhatsApp Business Platform.
• Telegram — an internal alert to our staff that a new enquiry has arrived (may include your name and enquiry details).
• Anthropic — we may use an AI assistant to help staff draft replies; the content of your enquiry may be processed for that purpose. It is never used to make automated decisions about you.
• Google (Tag Manager, Analytics, Ads) and Microsoft Clarity — website analytics and advertising measurement, loaded only after you accept the relevant cookies.

International transfers

Some of these providers process data outside the UK/EEA (for example in the United States). Where that happens, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement/Addendum or the providers’ Standard Contractual Clauses.

Data retention

We retain enquiry data for up to 3 years after your last contact with us, after which it is deleted. You may request earlier deletion at any time (see below). When data is deleted, copies may persist in our rotated security backups for up to 14 further days before being removed entirely.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR and Bulgarian data protection law, you have the right to: access your data, correct inaccuracies, request deletion (“erasure”), withdraw consent, restrict or object to processing, and request a copy of your data. Email [email protected] to exercise any of these rights; we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
